About Us

We’re Shanai and Saxon - the duo behind Sip Society, based in Cheltenham and always hunting for the cosiest spots in the Cotswolds. We created Sip Society because making friends as an adult can feel strangely difficult, especially if you’re new to the area, working a lot, or just don’t want “going out” to mean loud bars and awkward small talk.

Our events are designed to feel welcoming from the moment you walk in. Think warm venues, thoughtful details, gentle structure (so it’s never cliquey or uncomfortable), and plenty of time to actually chat. Whether it’s Book Club, Paint & Sip, moodboards or seasonal socials, our goal is simple: help women meet, connect, and leave feeling lighter than when they arrived.

Most people come solo - and you’ll be in good company.

Saxon

Ideas machine. Good vibes curator. The one who makes it feel easy to walk in solo.

Saxon is a trainee psychotherapist, currently studying for a Doctorate in Child Psychotherapy. She’s passionate about connection and community - creating nights where people feel comfortable being themselves. Expect a warm welcome, thoughtful touches, and very good energy on the night.

Go-to drink: Aperol spritz
Perfect evening: Tucked up on the sofa with a good book.

Shanai

Creates the cosy vibe + makes everyone feel at home.

Shanai is a sports therapist (currently studying chiropractic). She co-founded Sip Society with Saxon to create the kind of community she wished existed - low-pressure, welcoming evenings where it’s easy to meet people, even if you come alone.
